Twisted rib stitch adds texture to the cuffs and wrists of these long fingerless mitts, while a simple change in needle size gives some slouch to the stockinette sleeves.
Native / Non-Native American fine wool and Texas Mohair
200 yards per 4 oz skein
Shown in Father’s Grey, 1 skein or approx 160 (200) yds of worsted weight yarn
Needles
Size A: US 7 4.5mm: 32” circ, or DPNs, if not using the magic loop method for small
circumference knitting (ribbing needle).
Size B: US 8 5mm: 32” circ, or DPNs, if not using the magic loop method for small
circumference knitting (stockinette needle).
Gauge
26 sts and 26 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in twisted rib on Size A needles, after gently wet-blocking, unstretched
16 sts and 24 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette on Size B needles, after gently wet-blocking
