This design was originally part of the December 2021 Jimmy Beans Wool Accessory Club.
The Permafrost Cowl is a next-level accessory for cold days. Knit in plump, colorful Major, this cowl will keep you warm even in the chilliest climates. It features a deep, roomy neck with a stylish pointed front – creating an easy-to-style, lovely combination of a shawl and a cowl.

Pattern notes
This cowl is knit in the round from the top down. Stitches for the circumference are cast on and worked in the round to the center, then the front and back are separated, and the Front is worked flat. After completing the Front, stitches are picked up for the lower edging and worked in the round.
In this pattern, slip all sts purlwise with yarn held in back on RS rows/rounds and with yarn held in front on WS rows.
